2, 2002 Regular Meeting and

cil Member Bales moved to

SAS, REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 344 AND FURTHER
AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF
ORDINANCE NO. 249 was
considered and discussed.
Thereupon, Council Mem-
ber Deiter moved that said
motion be passed. Seconded
by Council Member Bales.
Said Ordinance was duly read
and considered, and upon
being put, the motion for pas-
sage of was carried by the vote
of the Governing Body, the
vote being as follows: Council
Member Bales, yes; Council
Member Gronquist, yes;
Council Member Frank, ab-
sent; Council Member Deiter,
yes.
Thereupon, President
Conrad declared said motion
duly passed and the Ordi-
nance was then duly num-
bered Ordinance 379 and will
be signed and approved by the
Mayor and attested by the City
Clerk.
The Ordinance on Service
Connect Fees will be submit-
ted for approval at the next
City Council Meeting.
The correspondence from
City Attorney Jack Turner was
reviewed. The letter stated it
was Mr. Turner's opinion that
Ordinance 299 didn't need to
be amended to change the
following billing practices: (1)
no longer sending out remind-
ers; (2) sending termination
notices out on the 15ti, of each
month; (3) the city would
contact customers two days
prior to shutting off utilities
after a termination process;
and (4) should nobody be
home at the time of discon-
necting utilities, the city would
place a door hanger stating
the time and date utilities were
disconnected.
A bid on Cemetery software
was reviewed. Council Member
Bales moved to purchase the
software at the bid price.
Council Member Deiter sec-
onded. Motion carried. It was
also decided that Diana Baker
would update the date into the
new program when time would
allow during business hours.
City Clerk White gave a re-
port on information concern-
hag the LMI Survey. No action
taken.
Upon Superintendent
Kraus's absence City Clerk
White was asked to discuss
the following issues with Mr.
Kraus upon his return. The
issues are as follows: Mary
Moege's driveway problem, a
shed on city property to be
torn down, a gas pipe and
brush in Buddy Barnes yard,
and an old tube that was left
from the Curb and Gutter
Project at the property ot
Jimmy Diepenbrock.
The council held a Work
Session on swimming pool
issues and swimming pool
manuals. The session will
continue at the November ad-
journed meeting.
At 9:30 p.m. Council Mem-
ber Bales moved to adjourn to
November 5, 2002 at 7:30
p.m. to conduce regular city
business. Seconded by coun-
cil Member Gronquist. Motion
carried.
