SEAT CLINIC TO BE
OFFERED
The Pottawatomie-
Wabaunsee County Chapter,
Kansas SAFE KIDS Coalition,
along with American Medical
Response (AMR) is sponsoring-
a free child safety seat clinic
for the public. Expectant par-
ents and anyone who travels
with a child in a car seat is
invited to attend. The purpose
of the clinic is to check your
car seat to make sure it is in-
stalled and being used cor-
rectly in your vehicle. The
clinic will be held Thursday,
November 21"t from 4:00
p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Alma
Fire/Ambulance Station, 3zd
and Ohio Street, Alma, Kan-
sas. To help reduce the wait-
ing time to have your car seat
checked, please call The Wa-
baunsee County Sheriffs Of-
rice, (785} 765-3303, to set an
appointment time.

SERVICE
The Maple Hill Community
Congregational Church will be
conducting its annual Hanging
of the Greens service on Sun-
day, November 24th, at 6:30
p.m. at the church, located at
4th and Prairie Streets in Ma-
ple Hill, just two blocks north
of Puffy's Restaurant.
This service opens up the
Christmas holiday season,
celebrating the Christian
meaning behind holiday deco-
rations. It will be immediately
followed by the 2nd annual
lighting of the Mayor's Christ-
mas tree at the city park.
Mayor Art Adams III will be on
hand for the lighting.
The evening will close with
a reception at the church hall,
with cookies and other good-
ies.
