2002 HOMECOMING KING
AND QUEEN
During half-time ceremonies of the Mission
Valley~Silver Lake Football game Friday,
September 27*~, the 2002 Mission Valley High
School Homecoming King and Queen were crowned.
Bobby Williams, son of Robert and Deana Williams,
is the 2002 Homecoming King. Ami Seastrom,
daughter of Wayne and Kim Seastrom, was crowned
queen. Silver Lake defeated the Vikings.

The Maple Hill Community Congregational Church held their
annual Fall Festival Saturday, September 28 as church
members and friends ushered in the fall season. This year's
theme was *A Step Back In Time." Early morning activities
included a morning bake sale and a 17:00 parade. Spectators
of all ages enjoyed the parade led by this group of children.
Following the parade, lunch was served at the church
fellowship hall. Children's games were held in the city park
followed by a silent auction, talent show, family games, and
hayrack rides. Evening activities included a barbecue beef
dinner, horseshoes, bingo, and music furnished by FreeState
Band. More parade pictures on page 12 of this issue.
